Where We Come From?

We originally started out as a group of friends gathering together to socialize but once we got together we realized that we could do so much more. One of our focus is to empower and uplift young girls. Being that we were once those same little girls and now we are grown women; working and living in our community we have seen too much negativity amongst the youth and that is when we realized that our young girls are at risk.

The challenges that they will face, we know of them all too well. Often we thought about the challenges and obstacles we ourselves had to overcome as a youth and just the thought of having someone to call on or a home to go to when we needed help, was a blessing.

Therefore, collectively we gathered and thought of ways that we can help save our youth and in that process a magnificient organization was born, The Ladies of Color (L.O.C.).

Where We Are Going?

The women of Ladies of Color, Inc. are all successful and established in their own given right and all we want to do is give back to our community.

Our Mission

Traditional Family Values

Restoring family values (extended family) for the socialization of our children, the satisfaction of the emotional and affection needs of each family member. The family is an economic until that ensures the physical survival of its member.

Economic Empowerment

To dramatize economic empowerment. Keep the money not "in the neighborhood" but in the family. "SUPPORT BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES" We support and maintain a large percent of the nation's products; therefore, we should own our own.

Education

Without education you are without direction. Look back and learn from old ignorance and use them not. We are morrally responsible to the generation of the future for a healthier survial.
